Cristina Calvache Cabernet 2021

Mix & match 6 bottles for 10% OFF

Price: £25.50

A bold and expressive Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon from the dramatic high-altitude vineyards of Sierra de Gádor, Andalucía, cultivated biodynamically on limestone soils at an average of 1,300 metres above sea level, where cool mountain nights give this wine its striking depth and structure.

Intense dark cherry-red in colour, the nose opens with ripe red fruits, leather, toast, and marked balsamic and menthol notes, a hallmark of high-altitude Cabernet grown in extreme conditions. On the palate, it is powerful, full-bodied, and long, with a persistent finish.

Crafted by independent winemaker Cristina Calvache with a strict no-intervention philosophy, from controlled fermentation through 10 days of skin maceration to malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak. Nothing added, nothing taken away. This is Sierra Nevada winemaking at its most honest.
